Pennings and Sons built our house 30 years ago and we use them for all our remodeling projects. They are high quality builders and one of their special qualities is keeping the house as clean as possible during their project work. We have never had a bad experience with them.
This last project was upgrading some windows in the house and it went extremely well. We positively recommend them to anyone.

Brad Pennings and his amazing team just finished a complete remodel of our basement. From start to finish, it was a very positive experience. They arrived on time, were always professional, and managed to stick to the timeline almost to the minute! They don’t do “cookie-cutter” jobs, all of their projects are custom and often times have very cool unique features. Honest, reliable, and with decades of experience on staff. They can handle projects of any size!

We couldn’t be happier with Pennings & Sons as our GO TO builders. We had a kitchen remodel in 2006, which we still get compliments on, and have turned to Pennings every time we need work done (we never even consider anyone else). Our most recent remodel turned into a major renovation (with us living offsite for 6 months) due to structural issues with our older house. While we were certain they could handle the basic task of making the house safe again (!), we had no idea it would turn out to be above and beyond what we had hoped for. Every detail was considered and painstakingly managed. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the professionalism of the Pennings team and all their subcontractors. From start to finish, they extracted information that allowed them to create the ideal home for us. We are now so very proud of our home, inside and out, thanks to these wonderful craftspeople.

We had a master bedroom suite added to our house along with new windows, siding, roofing, and a few other outside modifications. The Pennings staff was very professional and easy to work with. We built our house in 1987 and it was time for some exterior renovation. The quality of work is exceptional and we are very happy with the results. Definitely would recommend them to others.

We used Pennings to do a full-gut remodel of our kitchen. It was approximately a 2-month project that could not have gone better, despite the pandemic. Every step of the way, from design to execution to follow-up went flawlessly. We plan to remodel two bathrooms in a year or so, and we will definitely go back to Pennings. Not only is this company knowledgeable and professional, but they do most of the work in-house, including design, project management and several trades. We had a single project manager (Josh Krone) throughout the project, and Josh was highly responsive and flexible. In fact, when we had the big storm in August, we lost power for a week, but it didn’t stop Pennings. Josh brought generators to the project and the work went forward without missing a beat. It’s hard to say how impressive that was. They also notified me of mistakes they made, including cracking a pane of glass that was so small it was almost impossible to see. They admitted it, and then they made it right at no cost to us. So that makes them honest and trustworthy as well. These guys are the best.

We had Pennings & Sons do a partial house remodel and attached garage addition to our lake home on Indian Lake in Vicksburg. We could not be happier with the work! Kristina did a lovely job taking us through the process from inception to goodbye. She made sure we were totally informed along the way and answered any questions we had. The carpenters are very talented and were incredibly meticulous in everything they did from demo to clean-up. We lived at home through the process and all the guys on site were professional and super delightful. Pennings was also sure to hold their sub-contractors up to the same standards! We have other remodels planned throughout the house and Pennings & Sons will be the first contractors we call.

I can’t begin to explain how happy I am with the new windows and three exterior doors that I had replaced on my home that was built in 1915! Every step of the way was effortless and fun. More important the product exceed my expectations with the appearance, functionality and more important the installation! Communication was the best I’ve experienced with any of the home improvement work done on top of that!

We had our kitchen cabinets removed, and new cabinets and flooring installed. The guys did a good job, and our kitchen looks great! We’re waiting for one cabinet door from the cabinet maker to be delivered.

From the very first meeting at our home to discuss the scope of the project, we were impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. Their quote was competitive with other area builders, and the materials Pennings used for the job were, in some cases, superior.

They were patient with us as we tweaked the design multiple times. We were delighted at the creativity and inspiration their architect provided to our project. Careful attention was paid to insuring the addition looked like it was part of the original design of the home, and it shows! The architect gave us multiple options to choose from, one of which even decreased the footprint without compromising design or our priorities, and actually reduced costs.

Through the process, we met all of the senior management at the company. Not only is everyone extremely competent, but also personally delightful. They are very customer focused, and are always looking to exceed expectations.

Our project manager has been phenomenal. From the very beginning, he shared the daily schedule with us so we knew exactly what to expect and prepare for. Changes were also communicated, and accommodations were made to be as non-intrusive as possible in our lives during construction. We were involved in every decision, whether small or large, and we had the freedom to make adjustments along the way. If any concerns arose with subcontractors, we only had to communicate with Pennings and any issues were handled immediately.

We chose to take on some of the work ourselves to reduce the overall cost of the project, and there were no objections. In fact, our project manager often provided advice to us or lent a hand when possible.

Pennings has been a delight to work with. From start to finish, it was an exceptionally positive experience and we are thrilled with the outcome.

Great, honest and trustworthy people to work with. If you choose to work with them you will not be disappointed. Usually not the least expensive choice but then you definitely get what you pay for here and that would be excellent workmanship and customer service.
