Oshtemo Township – Elevator & Custom Stair Treads

This project added a residential elevator to a home that did not previously have one, creating easier access between levels while preserving the character of the existing interior. The elevator was carefully integrated into the central stair area with a glass enclosure, bronze-toned framing, and custom wood detailing that ties into the home’s existing trim, railings, and warm wood finishes.

A major part of the project was the surrounding stair work. We built custom wood stair treads and railing details to fit cleanly around the new elevator shaft, allowing the elevator to feel intentionally designed into the home rather than added after the fact. The finished space blends accessibility, craftsmanship, and architectural detail, giving the homeowners a practical long-term solution without sacrificing the look and feel of their home.
